Marjorie Lewis

 

 

 

Marjorie Lewis is a creative producer and developer of television and feature film content.

 

Ms. Lewis was responsible for the development and sale of over 50 projects including telefilms and feature films. She has produced 5 films, overseeing all aspects of development and production on and off-set.

Ms. Lewis began her career as a creative executive with the David Geffen Company where she was responsible for finding and developing the screenplay BEETLEJUICE and attaching Tim Burton to direct. Lewis oversaw production of the feature film which was a huge success for Geffen and Warner Brothers and spawned a theme park ride, a cartoon series and a Broadway show.

 

Ms. Lewis then went to work as a Vice President of Production at HBO where she worked on a variety of projects before moving on to become Vice President of New Line Cinema.  While at New Line she is credited with creating the POISON IVY franchise as well as supervising several other films during her tenure. Lewis also worked as a Vice President of Development Frank Mancuso Junior’s company FJM Entertainment at MGM where she was involved with the production of STIGMATA and RONIN.

 

After 25 years in the industry, Ms. Lewis finally established her own production company, along with a production and creative development consultancy practice for such companies as Big Picture Entertainment, Aronson Management and Cosgrove Meurer Productions.  In the non-scripted television marketplace, Lewis developed a wide variety of concepts ranging from HGTV formats to Animal Planet series. She has worked as a producer on programs for A&E, TRU-TV, SPIKE, DISCOVERY, BRAVO, NAT GEO WILD and GSN.
